Jessica L. Villar
Attorney

Jessica’s areas of practice are business and corporate transactions.  She started her legal career in 2017, when she joined the Law Offices of David A. Helfant in Los Angeles, as a transactional entertainment attorney, with a specialization in music law.

Jessica graduated from California State Polytechnic University of Pomona in 2009, with a double major in International Business and Marketing.  After finishing college, Jessica worked for Wells Fargo Securities, and in 2012 enrolled in Southwestern Law School’s part-time evening program as a working law student.  While at Southwestern, Jessica switched focuses from corporate transactional law to entertainment based transactional law.  She was a writer for the Biederman Entertainment Blog and a student advocate for the Entertainment and the Arts Legal Clinic.

As an Associate for the Law Offices of David A. Helfant, Jessica specialized in drafting a wide array of entertainment industry contracts, as well as used her background in business to draft and assist in various corporate and business related agreements and formations.

Jessica is an avid lover of music, and you can usually find her at a music show during her free time.  If she’s not at a show,  she’s probably watching sports, and is a big supporter of the US Men’s and Women’s National Soccer teams,  Los Angeles Galaxy, Los Angeles Rams, and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
